Is tallow comedogenic?

Comedogenic means having the potential to clog pores. There is no one answer for every skin type: how your skin responds to a finished formula matters more than a single ingredient rating. This cream blends grass-fed beef tallow with jojoba oil, argan oil, beeswax, and vitamin E. We do not promise that it will be non-comedogenic or free from breakouts.

Is it suitable for oily or acne-prone skin?

This rich cream is intended for dry skin and dry areas. If your skin is oily or acne-prone, it may feel too heavy. Skin response varies, so introduce it slowly, use a very thin layer only where needed, and stop if you notice clogged pores, new breakouts, or irritation. It is a moisturizer, not an acne treatment.

How should I patch-test and use it?

Before applying it to your face, test a thin layer on a quarter-sized area of clean, intact skin on your inner forearm, twice daily for 7–10 days. Stop and gently wash it off if redness, itching, burning, or swelling develops. A patch test cannot rule out later irritation or clogged pores. If tolerated, start with a rice-grain-sized amount on a small dry area of your face, avoiding the eyes, and increase only as needed. Introduce one new skincare product at a time so you can observe how your skin responds.
